Nasty C is the first SA rapper to receive the YouTube plaque

Just when you thought Nasty C had wrapped up 2018, he became the first SA rapper to receive YouTube's Silver Play Button for reaching more than 100, 000 subscribers on his official YouTube Channel.

The rapper who has released great music videos over the course of his career, including a micro film, Veliswa was super excited when he shared the news.

"I gotta thank all my fans for this. My YouTube subscribers notification gang. More dope videos on the way let's keep going and growing. Last but not least, thank you YouTube," he said.

Mich Atagana, head of communication and public affairs at Google South Africa told TshisaLIVE that they were excited to award Nasty C because of how his music videos always resonated with viewers.

Mich added that 100,000 subscribers was not easy to get.

"We are pleased to award Nasty C with YouTube's Silver Play Button. This award recognises Nasty C's hard work as shown by the feat of reaching more than 100,000 subscribers on his official YouTube channel. Without a doubt, Nasty C's music resonates with many and we wish him all the best and we look forward to what comes next on his channel," said Mich.

Nasty C's music videos for King, Jungle, Allow among many others have gotten great reviews.
