Actor Sphamandla Dhludhlu has come out strongly to dismiss reports that he allegedly  "stabbed" during a drunken brawl this past weekend.

Sunday World reported that Sphamandla allegedly stabbed his friend at Cubana Lounge in Fourways.

The paper reported that a case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm was laid against the thespian at the Douglasdale police station, however the charge was later withdrawn. Police spokesperson Mpho Tshetlhane Sphamandla's arrest to the paper.

Sphamandla addressed the debacle on Instagram, labeling the report "exaggerated".

"Wow I wish this was pragmatic (enough to) objectively separate truth from lies or mistakes, sad they (are) devoted on non fact-checking. My synopsis of this article: it's exaggeration," the actor wrote.

However, Sphamandla remained mum when fans asked him to give his version of events since he cast doubt on the accuracy of the reports.
