After taking a mini TV hiatus to rule the airwaves, Masechaba Ndlovu is back on the small screen and in the driver's seat of a show she feels is a "God-ordained match".

Masechaba, who made her debut as the new host of the BET reality show, The Big Secret  on Wednesday night said she was overjoyed to have found a platform that allows her to question, interrogate and intervene as she sees fits.

Besides... Masechaba fits the brief of helping people to speak "nothing but the truth" to set them free from big secrets to the tee.

"For me, it was and is such a blessing to be given that level of respect and trust. I am grateful to the production company and to BET for allowing me to guide the show my way as long as it's within the format. It's trust."

Masechaba who is reported to be on her way out from Metro FM said she had no doubt in her abilities and that she cherished the freedom on The Big Secret because some spaces hadn't been as generous where freedom is concerned.

"I've built up a certain level of credibility over the years and I must say that I've been blessed enough to work in spaces that give me that freedom. Of course, there are some spaces that have been more restrictive but I can't sit here and lie and say that that has been the experience throughout my career."

Masechaba said she was accredited over three years ago and she's never said anything about it, but always knew that it would help her fulfill her purpose in line with her calling.

And now, seeing everything come together in the form of Big Secret, the presenter said it was an amazing feeling.

"I've never actually told anyone. I've not decided to start practicing but lo and behold, I am practicing. The Big Secret has brought out my life coaching role. It clicked immediately. Because the difference between psychology and life coaching is that psychology strives to reflect and go back to heal past wounds among other things but life coaching is more about moving forward. It is about getting someone from a place where they are in pain and turning their pain into power and moving them away from being imprisoned by their past. That's why I love life coaching."

Masechaba took over from Khanyi Mbau, who did a good job if viewer reactions are anything to go by.

Unlike many presenters who often start a new gig burdened by the success or failures of the previous presenter, Masechaba said she intentionally avoided that route because it would make it difficult for her to be authentic.

"I was most determined to just bring myself, not in comparison to the previous presenter. As a matter of fact, I didn't even watch the first season, deliberately because I wanted to ensure that brought my complete authenticity to the show without any influence of how it was done before or what the format was. Just to feel it out and to be lead by the spirit."

Just watch how radiant the new host was at the exclusive screening of season two.
