What do you do when you've been in the game and tasted almost every piece of the pie? Well, you search for more things to do! And for actor-cum-comedian-cum-musician Pastor Mjosty aka 2 Litre his next stop is right by the busy gqom street.

Chatting to TshisaLIVE just days after releasing his first gqom track, Ngifuna Lo, Mjosty said he was ready to delve into the youth-dominated genre because he had something they didn't.

"I'm old school. I have been making music for a long time and my contributions to kwaito and music, in general, have helped give birth to what is called gqom today. For me, age wasn't a factor, music is timeless and doesn't care for such. When you make music and people love and enjoy it, as they have with my latest song, then you are on the right track," he said.

Mjosty said he's been pleasantly surprised by the airplay on radio and the comments he's received from people who had nothing but great things to say.

Mjosty has done a lot since he began in this industry over two decades ago. He’s worked for Ukhozi FM as a co-presenter with Dudu Khoza and been on Gagasi FM as well. He also hosted the SABC 1 gospel show called Worship Night. He also has a collection of awards under his name which include SATMA's Best Comedian and an Umlazi Award.

However, he admitted that his role as 2 Litre on the Zulu drama series eHostela was a unique experience for him.

"Being on eHostela was both amazing and challenging. Before that role, I had gravitated towards more funny or comic acting roles because I am a comedian. I was a bit more cautious about how I handled the role because the story and storyline were so intense. But I learnt so much from that experience that I hope I get similar roles in the future."
