Sizwe Dhlomo's word is gospel when it comes to hip-hop and he recently made it known who he supports and gives his stamp of approval to.

His guest appearance on Podcast and Chill recently was loaded with gems that had chillers labelling it the best interview.

MacG opened up on how Sizwe was in his corner after he was fired from YFM. He then asked the seasoned radio jock if there was anyone in the industry he wanted to reach out to as he had back then.

“Sometimes I don’t want to emotionally invest, but for example, Emtee right? Emtee is immensely talented. In all my years working in music, I never wanted to get involved with artists for a reason. You know how many artists I’ve discovered personally and I will just palm them off?”

He said he wished someone would help Emtee.

“I wish somebody could help Emtee to realise the greatness that is in him, but it also requires some work on his side because he’s got demons that he needs to defeat, so that’s the first thing,” Sizwe said.

Emtee was named hip hop artist of the year at the Global Music Awards Africa 2022.

The Roll Up hitmaker, who beat A-Reece, Sarkodie, Kwesi Arthur and Ladipoe, took to Twitter celebrating his achievement.

“Can't keep a good man down innit,” he wrote.

Earlier this year, Emtee took to his Twitter timeline saying that he received more recognition and acknowledgment in other countries for his contribution to the music industry than in South Africa.

“It’s not rocket science. I’m appreciated more in foreign countries. I'm top 10 in Africa,” he wrote.
