Mo Flava says life is something else after the industry was dealt a double blow by the deaths of seasoned broadcaster Pearl Shongwe and DJ Sumbody.

Taking to his Twitter timeline, the radio jock shared a clip of them in the studio while they were interviewing the slain DJ.

“Life is something else. I know how Pearl Shongwe and Sumbody vibed so well when they were in the same room. Ya neh, ho tsamaya batho.”

The star, real name Oupa John Sefoka, was reportedly gunned down at the weekend, with details surrounding his death under investigation.

Rapper Cassper Nyovest has been in mourning. He took to his timeline to share a video of the late star on the set of his Billiato advert.

On his Facebook page, Cassper spoke about his friendship with the late star, recalling the memories he shared with him.

“Sometimes you called me Diddy, sometimes you called me Kanye. I still don’t know which one I prefer but I know one thing for sure, the bond we shared was special.

“You were always there for me and I was always there for you. I really can’t take the pain and I pray for healing, acceptance and understanding. Pelo yaka e botloko SumB. ANEVA JO.”

Pearl Shongwe, the Metro FM news anchor and Daily Thetha host, died on November 8 and was laid to rest at Nasrec memorial park.

Pearl was remembered as a kind person who was passionate about her work and loved her friends and family

DJ Mo Flava spoke about his relationship with Pearl : “She's done so much for me in my career. She was a star because she was talented. But she was also a star because she was able to bring a shine to your life. She helped me become better at what I do. Whether she was my manager at some point as a DJ, a co-host on a radio show, or news. She helped me shine. She had an incredible effect on my life,” he said.
