Unathi Nkayi & Thomas Msengana celebrate their son’s 18th birthday
Proud parents Unathi Nkayi and her ex-husband Thomas Msengana recently celebrated their firstborn son's 18th birthday.
The mother of two took to her timeline recently sharing images of their family celebration, penning a heartfelt message.
Unathi recalled her experience of being in labour for four days with her miracle baby.
“Sitting here in front of me I can’t believe you’re 18. Daddy and I did it. You’re happy. Beautiful. And ours. I love you up to God Nako. Four days of labour, we almost lost you but God namanyange said aneva ngesizukulo sethu.
“You said ‘Moms I’m 18 now. You don’t have to protect me any more. I can protect myself. You don’t have to hide my face any more.’ Enkosi Nako wam. Thank you for making me grow up and have a purpose. Thank you for being who you are to Mboshla. Thank you for being a true testimony to Daddy’s and I’s LOVE PS Daddy is still taller than you.”
Responding to negative criticism on social media previously Unathi has mentioned how she wants to set a great example to her children to know they can stand up for themselves.
“I am a mother of two beautiful children who live in a world filled with hurt bullies. I will never stop teaching them to stand up for themselves. This is why I do it. I have no interest in anything above them.
“Forgive me for not being the celebrity that you think I should be. I am the mother I want to be.”
