There are a lot of things Anele Mdoda has done over the years, but the TV and radio host has sealed 2022 because she has been securing the bag on all fronts.

It's as if this was Anele's year of yes. Here's how the star owned 2022.

Opportunity to study abroad 

The radio host took a two-month sabbatical from the airwaves to attend global master-classes in various countries.

In a statement released by the station, they explained the host would gain knowledge that would help her breakfast show.

“Anele's Future-Fit Master-Classes will enable her to reimagine 947's Anele and the Club breakfast show, whereby she will be exploring new and emerging broadcasting and entertainment trends plus interrogating global best practices that will invigorate the show on her return.”

Anele co-produces Ludik

Through production company Rose and Oaks which she owns with partners, she's created Ludik, Netflix's first Afrikaans series.

Anele, Paul and Frankie du Toit produced the series Anele said was “a magical piece of TV”.  The series stars icon Arnold Vosloo, who recently starred in Silverton Siege.

Five-year contract with Primedia Broadcastings' music radio station 947

In May the businesswoman inked a deal of a lifetime.

“That five-year contract, it's all our victory. Please be as tenacious, brave and almost abrasive as me when it comes to getting what you deserve, because if you don't put the mic on, if you're not in front of the camera, what are they going to put out there? You can be replaced immediately. Yeah, if you're not doing your job, but if you're excelling the other party must meet you halfway and Primedia did, she told TshisaLIVE

Anele Mdoda's production company and Primedia buy The Masked Singer

The American reality TV series The Masked Singer is coming to South Africa.

The media personality is set to produce the show through her multimedia company Rose and Oaks with Primedia, which bought the rights to the show which will be available in three different languages.

Showing off her son's Alakhe's star power

Anele is not only a superstar but a super mom and her son Alakhe is the apple that didn't fall far from the tree.

In 2022 Anele showed off her son's star power and it's fair to say Alakhe is going to take over soon.
