Actor Sipho Eric Ndlovu needs no introduction, especially after he starred in the most talked about Showmax telenovela The Wife.

The star has also starred in The Queen, Isibaya , Omen, Isipho and others

He told TshisaLIVE he is not in it for the fame.

“I never thought about fame and whether it would be like this. Even now I'm just chilled  because to me it's not all about fame. To me its all about playing different characters and to get my talent seen in other countries. That’s what I want because I don’t want my footprint to end here. So just like I passed my matric, I didn’t celebrate because I wanted to go somewhere  further than that. The Wife is doing great and I'm happy where I am. I'm in a good space playing this character.”

Sipho said he lives by three principles: discipline, support from family and commitment.

He said the acting industry is not for the faint-hearted and what has helped him stay level-headed is discipline.

He said it's not an easy industry to navigate.

“You need to be discipline because it's not easy. In the industry we have some people who are suicidal . The industry is not a healthy one because there's too much pressure and once you are inside and established, then it is OK, what's next. This is the question on every actor’s mind ,what's next.  All artists always have that question. I don’t know if are are normal human beings. They are not normal but here we are, pushing and trying to move forward,” he said.
