Loliwe hitmaker Zahara experienced financial and health woes in 2022 but she's still standing tall.

In early May she was on the verge of losing her Roodepoort home.

The singer’s townhouse was set to be auctioned on May 7 after she defaulted on her monthly instalments of R17,665.

The hitmaker told TshisaLIVE she was given a six-day grace period to pay her R1.9m home loan.

“It's all true. I went to Nedbank and they gave me more days.”

In another interview, Zahara said she had layered up to take legal action against her former label TS records over royalties allegedly owed to her.

She did not disclose who her lawyer was, saying the legal representative might be intimidated.

“I'm coming for everything. I've got a lawyer who is going to do everything for me pro bono. Every cent, from everywhere.”

In June, the Loliwe hitmaker took to her Facebook to speak about how she had to cancel upcoming work obligations because she needed to rest.

"I’d like to apologise to my fans and promoters to share that I am unable to carry through my performances this weekend. My health has taken a toll and I have been advised to be on bed rest. I look forward to getting out there as soon as I am physically fit," she wrote.

Despite Zahara's personal life making headlines and shooting  up the trends list in Mzansi, she is standing tall.

“When all is said and done, you stand,” she wrote.
