While some agreed with him, others said he was better off not being part of it.
“I would've really enjoyed that show so much, and the fact that it's rare to see Emtee on a regular basis, this Love and Hip Hop would have make it easy. To see Emtee's actual moves in reality, how he chills with friends and family, that would've been more exciting for us as fans,” replied one follower.
“Blessings in disguise. They only called washed up rappers. None of them are relevant. They trying to revive their careers. You're up there,” said another.
During a Q&A session at the launch of the show, cast member Da L.E.S said he felt his role was important as he was an OG.
“It's really important for me to be on the show so I can offer my past experiences, studio and guidance. These guys are the future. It is only right for me as an OG to do the right thing.”
Gigi Lamayne, who is also featured on the show, said she wanted to tell the story of the young male black child.
“You will see lots of love. Gigi's got a lot of love to give. I've been very deliberate making my narrative around the young male black child and feeling he is constantly put in a position where he is criminalised, being known as an aggressor more than a protector.
“As a young woman of colour it is my obligation to protect the man of colour in the world we live in.”
