Actress Letoya Makhene-Pulumo has dismissed reports that she and her wife Lebo Pulumo-Makhene have separated.

The reports claimed the pair separated earlier this year, insinuating that their marriage was on the rocks.

However, taking to her Instagram timeline the actress lambasted the claims by sharing snaps of them together from a ceremony they went to together recently.

“To come home with my wife from umghidi and us waking up to news of a separation was the funniest thing ever. Unfortunately fake news like this does affect our families and people close to us. Thanks to everyone who’s been checking up on us. Your love and support means the world to us,” she captioned her post.

In celebration of her wife's birthday in late January, Letoya professed her love for Lebo.

She said they were perfect for each other and spoke about what she'd learnt from their union.

“I think you are the most beautiful thing that God has brought into my life and I love and cherish you. We may not see eye to eye on a lot of things, but we do make an exceptional team. You have brought light into my life and have taught me how I deserve to be loved.

'For that I will appreciate you forever. I cannot imagine life without you. I cannot imagine my world with another. You are the only one who has filled this empty void that I have had in my heart for so long. You are the personification of love.”

Letoya also recently inked her wife's name on her ring finger.

“It's done,” she captioned the post.
