Multi-Grammy-award nominee singer Tamia is set to return to South Africa for the fourth time in the past decade.

Entertainment company G Twenty One Live together with Vertex Events on Tuesday announced the singer will be undertaking a three-city tour in the country in July.

Tamia will kick off her South African tour on July 4, at the Grand Arena, GrandWest, in  Cape Town, move on to KwaZulu-Natal on July 7 to perform at the Durban ICC and conclude the tour on July 8 at the Sunbet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria.

The Canadian-born R&B singer and songwriter has released multiple albums and has collaborated with several prominent international musical icons. Some of her hit songs include Officially Missing You, Who Do You Tell and This Time It's Love.

No stranger to South Africa, the much-adored, super talented, live performer has spoken in the past about how she'll always return to Mzansi.

In 2019, Tamia was in South Africa to promote her studio album, Passion Like Fire.

“The one good thing that I feel certainly blessed about is that I am doing something that I love and I get to connect with people through music and be on stage and see people laughing, crying, hugging and dancing.

“You feel like you have gone through these experiences with people and that it is such an intimate thing and which is a blessing,” Tamia told Sowetan.

Limited tickets for the seated concert are available at Ticketpro and range from R390 to R1,490.
