Almost three months later, rapper Yanga Chief has expressed loss of faith in the SAPS to solve the murder case of his friend Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.
AKA was shot dead outside a popular Florida Road, Durban, restaurant last month. Celebrity chef and author Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane was also killed in the shooting.
Though no arrests have been made, police minister Bheki Cele said there had been “significant” progress in the investigation of the murders when giving an update during an interview on Newzroom Afrika.
“The investigation is going on. They [police in the province] are following some directions. There is progress in the case. It seems to be significant [progress],” he said.
Unable to fully process the death of his friend, Yanga Chief has penned a post to his late bestie, saying he misses him.
“It’s so boring without you Pah. Ima just keep it a buck,” he started.
“Every day I lose more faith that justice will be served. SAPS please don’t F this up. #JusticeForAKA (can’t even believe such a tag exits). Let’s keep praying for the family and loved ones. It’s not over,” Yanga said.
