'I’ve tasted what the world feels like outside SA, I’m addicted.'

K.O has been in the music industry for more than a decade and is on a mission to gain international status.

In a series of Twitter posts, the rapper reflected on his career and how he wants to see it evolve.

K.O said rubbing shoulders with Hollywood stars at the 2011 BET Awards in Los Angeles was a memory he will forever cherish and wanted to experience again on a higher scale, just as Grammy award-winning DJ Black Coffee has done.

“The dream! I want to be South African hip-hop Black Coffee. I’ve tasted what the world feels like outside South Africa, I’m addicted,” he wrote.

K.O's SETE is one of the biggest songs in the country and saw him nominated for multiple Metro FM awards recently.

Though he is adamant he is not validated by awards, K.O said he felt he was underrated.

“Just out here trying to represent for those who share the same story as me. I can’t stop, won’t stop.

“I don’t consider awards the symbol of success. If fanbases are the only thing that wins awards I’m comfortable not winning. I stopped fishing for external validation years ago. You’ll go crazy in this game if you’re constantly seeking to get worshipped.”
