Award-winning music producer and DJ Collen “Chymamusique” Mmotla says he will open up about the kind of struggles he has been facing when the time is right, but for now he is confident he will bounce back.

Replying to a Twitter follower who asked if he quit the blue bird app, he revealed he was facing some life difficulties.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE he said he can't really pinpoint what the matter is, however, he knows it's a spiritual thing.

“Not yet, I'm still trying to figure it out, but it's more spiritual, I'm always in church. It's something that I don't understand yet, so I won't even be able to understand how best to explain it.

The music producer said he gets headaches, body pains and other discomforts.

“I just took a pause just a little bit to pray about everything and see what God wants with my life. But definitely I'm slowly getting a little better, so I'll bounce back. I believe it is just a phase.''

The DJ said he has been going through some stuff since 2015 and it has got worse. He told TshisaLIVE it's something no one seems to understand.

''The only answer I could get was everything was done by God, so it's definitely God's call to say, 'attention, stay prayerful, be awake.'”

When asked what he wants to say to his followers, he asked for prayers.

''Going back to exercising slowly but surely and psychology tried going back to God, but more than anything it's just a prayer season for me, also to see what it's all about. Because I believe when God brings something like this there's always a bigger purpose. So that's what I'm trying to understand — what's the reason behind everything that I'm feeling and going through?''

Chymamusique scooped a couple of awards at the 28th annual SA Music Awards (Samas).

He won the Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Dance Album awards,

Speaking to TshisaLIVE about his win, Chymamusique said he never expected to take any accolade home as he had been nominated seven times since 2010.

“I think more than anything it's because of the work that I do for other people ... most artists come and record in my studio because I mix and master their songs, especially the piano stars.”
