'It must reach you even in your sleep' — Sizwe Dhlomo advises Emtee on securing the bag

Sizwe Dhlomo has never hidden his soft spot for rapper Emtee and recently gave him the 411 to secure the bag. 

Emtee has again found himself a hot topic after amapiano music producer and DJ Maphorisa tweeted about him. 

Maphorisa asked his followers how he can get hold of Emtee for a booking to which Emtee replied: “Just spoke to Porry. Calm down bafethu”.

“Yes my G, but the point is if he wasn’t Phori, he wouldn’t have been able to get to you. You must never put obstacles between yourself and the bag. It must reach you even in your sleep. Ya dig?” wrote Sizwe.

Sizwe was a guest on MacG's Podcast and Chill in 2022 and the podcaster opened up on how Sizwe was in his corner after he was fired from YFM.

He asked the seasoned radio jock if there was anyone in the industry he wanted to reach out to. 

“Sometimes I don’t want to emotionally invest, but, for example, Emtee, right? Emtee is immensely talented. In all my years working in music I never wanted to get involved with artists for a reason. You know how many artists I’ve discovered personally and I will just palm them off?”

He said he wished someone would help Emtee.

“I wish somebody could help Emtee realise the greatness that is in him, but it also requires work on his side, because he’s got demons he needs to defeat, so that’s the first thing,” Sizwe said at the time.
