After recently making history by becoming the first African artist to sell out the 41,800 capacity Citi Field stadium in New York in the US, Burna Boy has announced his return to South Africa to perform at the FNB Stadium.
The Nigerian star will kickstart his Burna Boy After Tour at the 94,736 seat stadium in Johannesburg on September 23.
Burna Boy shared a link to the ticket provider for the show. Tickets will retail from R765 to R2,020.

Reacting to the news, fans reflected on how he delivered a show-stopping performance at the DStv Delicious Festival at the Kyalami grand prix circuit in Midrand last year, and those who missed it said they were marking his upcoming show on their calendars.
“You know I'm going to be there,” wrote one social media user.
“It’s going to be lit,” wrote another.

In 2020 Burna Boy vowed never to step into South Africa again after xenophobic attacks against foreign Africans. He split social media when he had fans of the late rapper AKA fuming when he told him, in a now-deleted tweet, to “beef up” his security.
However, it was later water under the bridge when both stars expressed they did not have anything against each other, and Mzansi now plans to give the Nigerian star a warm welcome.
