Ahead of what was scheduled to be the release date of his anticipated forthcoming album, Solomon, Cassper Nyovest has announced he is postponing its release, originally set for July 28.

After fans said how they were expecting to hear the new music, the rapper apologised, saying he would reveal the new release date soon.

I’m sorry y’all. The positive news is that all is now fixed and we will have a new date and single in the next week,” he wrote on his Twitter timeline.

This comes after Cassper recently assured his fans all was in order.

“I’ll be updating you about the album soon. Don’t be worried about my silence, all is in control. Big love.”

Cassper is part of the second year of Sprite’s global music programme, Sprite Limelight, which saw him release a collaboration with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder.

So while fans wait to hear the album, which Cassper has said could be his best project yet, they get to indulge in some new music.

“I'm proud to be part of the Sprite Limelight programme 2023, representing African music, representing our sound, our culture, and expressing myself in this new way collaborating with the legend that is Ryan Tedder — always much love for him. I know that feeling when the heat hits, the pressures of life feel like they are on, we all feel it. Music helps me tackle that, to keep cool, so I just really connected with the whole concept of the Sprite Limelight programme. It's dope to be a part of it all,” Cassper said in a statement shared with TshisaLIVE.
