Actress and preacher Innocent Sadiki has officially stepped into a new chapter in her life of ministry. She will head her own branch at Church By The Valley.

Taking to her Instagram, she shared snaps and clips of her "spirit-filled" ordination on Sunday.

"What a spirit-filled ordination. 16 years of preaching and 10 years of running a church alongside my husband Pastor P. To God be the Glory. Ebenezer our stone of help, we ready for @churchatthevalleymooikloof. Thank you for the unforgettable 10 years. Midrand, Mooikloof is waiting. It is a new season for me. Thank you to my pastor and husband for conducting the ordination so brilliantly under the guidance of the Holy Spirit," she wrote.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE previously, Innocent said while she always knew she was “called to lead”, the promotion to senior pastor took her by surprise.

“It’s difficult to answer this question because I have no doubt God has called me, but to lead a church is different for me. God took me by surprise. When I said I’m available to be used by Him, I didn’t know He would take it this far. However, I understand the assignment very well. I’m here on earth for a deeper purpose, my life is in His hands. So where He leads me, I will follow,” said Innocent.

She said she wasn't fazed by being a senior preacher, a position usually held by men.

“This is a reality but it doesn’t worry me at all. I know before He called me, He had qualified me. I’m also an advocate for women empowerment, so this hits home for me. This is an opportunity for me to show our God is able to use women mightily in the church. I’m never going to minimise myself for anything or for anyone.
