Uncle Waffles got a nod from Grammy award winner Missy Elliott.

During her last performance of a three-week tour of the US the American rapper cosigned her.

“I went to see her play her set the other night, and she always be snappin on the DJ tip she smash up da place. Hopefully big tingz soon,” Missy captioned the post.

Since gaining stardom after a video of her dancing to Young Stunna's Adiwele went viral in 2021, Uncle Waffles has grown in strength on the global stage

From rapper Drake to supermodel Naomi Campbell, and even singers Ciara and Omarion, the DJ has renowned international stars showering her with praise.

After Beyoncé's cosigning, where the Grammy award-winning artist played her hit song Tanzania during her Renaissance world tour, the amapiano sensation recently had another former Destiny's Child member, Kelly Rowland, say she's been a supporter of the DJ for a year now.

The American singer, a frequent visitor to South Africa, said she was happy to see Uncle Waffles added to the Coachella line-up this year.

“I love music. I listen to music all the time ... It's really cool to see artists come up with new ways — like there's this really cool DJ out right now, her name is Uncle Waffles and she's got so much personality ... she's so cool, she just played at Coachella but I've been knowing about this girl for at least a year now,” she said during her sit-down on the Pretty Smart podcast.

Uncle Waffles has been making big strides beyond the borders of Mzansi, including US and UK tours, while at home she has a KFC meal named after her.
