Lungelihle “Uncle Waffles” Zwane is undeniably well acquainted when it comes to international stars — and the circle just keeps getting bigger.

After Beyoncé's co-sign where the Grammy award-winning artist played her hit song Tanzania during her Renaissance world tour, the amapiano sensation recently had another former Destiny's Child member, singer Kelly Rowland, speak on how she's been a supporter of the DJ for a year now.

The American singer, a frequent visitor to South Africa, said she was happy to see Uncle Waffles added to the Coachella line-up this year.

“I love music. I listen to music all the time ... It's really cool to see artists come up with new ways — like there's this really cool DJ out right now, her name is Uncle Waffles and she's got so much personality ... she's so cool, she just played at Coachella but I've been knowing about this girl for at least a year now,” she said during her sit-down on the Pretty Smart podcast.

Since gaining stardom after a video of her dancing to Young Stunna's Adiwele went viral in 2021, Uncle Waffles has grown from strength to strength on the global stage.

From rapper Drake to supermodel Naomi Campbell and even singers Ciara and Omarion, the DJ has renowned Hollywood stars showering her with praises.

She has been making big strides beyond the borders of Mzansi, including US and UK tours, while at home she has her own KFC meal
