MacG has lambasted Pearl Thusi for becoming a DJ after her debut in February.

During a recent episode of Podcast and Chill, MacG suggested the actress' venture was a downgrade from her acting career.

That's another one, how can you start DJing at 40 bro? Pearl Thusi. From Queen Sono to DJing? Let's not condone bullsh*t,” he said.

Watch the video below:

After making her musical debut, Pearl took to her timeline saying this was a venture she had been working on for the past 10 years.

“God's timing is perfect. Delay is not denial. Trust in the process. I’ve made a dream come true. Whether this makes sense to you or not, worry about yourself and making your dreams come true. I pray this convinces you to never give up on what you want to achieve.

“I was so worried about what everyone would say about this decision, for nearly a decade. Angisanandaba nezinkulumo zabantu. I practised until I couldn’t stand. I’m so happy because I overcame the fear of judgment, forgetting that only God has the right to judge me. I’m free.”

Pearl has DJ Zinhle and her other friends and family members rooting for her and has many plans in the pipeline for her career.

Speaking to Sunday Times, Pearl said she plans to launch a fashion label, is shooting an independent film and working on releasing music.

“I’m excited with all the challenges. I’m excited about the next six months of my life and what it's going to look like.”
