The Offramp Experience is back with its second instalment, promising an even greater impact on the local economy.
The groundbreaking concept is set to draw visitors from all over South Africa. The event will take place from June 27 to 29 at Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre in Margate on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast.
Some of South Africa's most popular artists are set to perform, including DJ Tira, Naima Kay, DJ Merlon, Nomfundo Mo, Zee Nxumalo, Funky QLA, Andy X and Qhawe.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Afropop singer Naima said she's happy to perform in her backyard.
“It's one of the fastest growing events in KwaZulu-Natal. All it needs is real funding from the tourism department, and Margate is a tourism destination. I'm happy to perform in my home town”, she said.
Naima is an ambassador for Doek on Fleek lifestyle and will perform her duties at the Durban Botanical Gardens on June 22.
Offramp Experience organiser Siya Msomi told TshisaLIVE the events sector is a crucial driver of the local economy.
“Keeping businesses in the hospitality industry open and creating job opportunities that help alleviate poverty.
“Despite the reduced appetite from sponsors after Covid-19, events like the Offramp Experience play an immense role in economic revival, supporting local businesses and providing employment opportunities”, said Msomi
