Bid to stop Branson setting sail

The former CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line is suing UK billionaire Richard Branson and his Virgin Group for allegedly stealing his ideas and business plans to enter the luxury cruise industry.

Colin Veitch is seeking more than $300-million in damages and has asked a judge to stop Virgin going ahead with its Miami-based cruise line. A Virgin spokesman said: 'We strongly believe the claim has no merits."

Branson plans to commission construction of two giant ships and has financial backing.
