It's a dramatic week, albeit for different reasons, for Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows, who meet in an Absa Premiership clash at Soccer City tonight.

Log-leaders Amakhosi will return to league action following a two-week interruption due to their Caf Champions League commitments, a journey that ended against AS Vita at the weekend.

Arrows' woes worsened on Saturday night when their 1-0 defeat to Wits meant the club has failed to win a single match last month.

Mamelodi Sundowns have caught up and are level on points with Chiefs despite playing two more matches than their title rivals, making Saturday's clash between the two sides a potential decider.

But there are points at stake for the Glamour Boys against bottom-of-the-log Arrows, who have hardly been a threat to any team this season.

Earlier in the week, Chiefs defender Morgan Gould described their mismatch against Arrows as "one of the most important" in their title chase. Gone are the days when the KwaZulu-Natal side used to torment Amakhosi, with their last victory over the reigning champions a 2-1 win in 2011.

"Football is a funny game. We gave it our all [in the Champions League] but it wasn't enough. But we are emerging stronger from this disappointment," Gould said.

Ghanaian international goalkeeper Fatau Dauda will make his third appearance for Orlando Pirates against Mpumalanga Black Aces in Soweto tonight .

The sides meet at Orlando Stadium in their second clash in less than three weeks. In their first game, they played to a 1-1 draw in the first round in Mpumalanga where Sifiso Myeni scored for Bucs before Zamuxolo Ngalo equalised.
