What was President Jacob Zuma doing in Russia recently?

Our biggest potential state tender for nuclear reactors for Eskom is on the table.

Such a deal far exceeds the arms deal in scale, and in the potentially disastrous consequences. Does Zuma have a PhD in nuclear physics?

Mr President, do not forget what happened at Chernobyl in 1986 (a design fault in the reactor).

Alternative energy sources do not produce radioactive waste. Why not utilise these instead? We even have a wind turbine producer here in South Africa.

The cost would be far lower than the R104.2-million per MW that nuclear power will cost to establish.

Eskom could blame the lack of wind for outages rather than wet coal.
