Spring fiesta draws thousands

Thousands flocked to Boksburg for the fifth annual Ekurhuleni Spring Fiesta festival. More than 50 local and international musicians performed on seven stages and kept the fans dancing for hours - from midday on Saturday until yesterday morning.DJ Black Coffee closed the event yesterday with hits from his latest album, 'Pieces of Me'.He was part of a star-studded line-up that showed the very best of house, soul, hip-hop, old school and dance music. It included DJs Oskido, Fresh, Shimza, Naves, Lulo Café, Culoe de Song and Black Motion, and international DJs Rocco, Osunlade, Lars Behrenroth and Jullian Gomes, among others.Police and community policing forum members ensured the safety of revellers.Kevin Peel, the Ekurhuleni metro police spokesman, said no major incidents were reported at or after the festival...
