Social media influencer Nikki Shange faces backlash over HIV/Aids tweets
Social media influencer Nikki Shange has once again caught heat for tweeting that HIV/Aids is all in the mind.
Shange has gained much traction on social media, known for her bold and religious statements.
On Wednesday, she tweeted that "HIV/Aids" does not exist.
To be quite honest, HIV is a thing of the mind. What you don’t believe doesn’t exist to you. If Jesus did away with sin on the cross then everything that came with sin has been removed too. That’s why it’s called the finished work.

So, HIV doesn’t exist. https://t.co/lf6cev4e7x
In March, Shange caused a stir when she tweeted to her 25,000 followers that "Jesus can cure Aids". The social media influencer quoted scriptures from the Bible to support her statement.
“By His Stripes we are healed”.

— Isaiah 53:5
It doesn’t say “we will be” bcos we are healed. That’s why Jesus died, so that we may be the righteousness of God by removing sin & everything that comes with sin (sickness, death etc)
It takes faith to believe the finished work
Zimbabwean prophet Walter Magaya also faced backlash earlier this month after claiming that he had found the cure for HIV/Aids. The pastor claimed that God gave him a revelation to combine two plants that would cure the virus. Magaya later retracted his claims.
Shange was reprimanded by many on Twitter.
Nikki Shange is a dangerous person. Her religious fanaticism is dangerous. Her religious delusions are dangerous. Her utterances are dangerous, especially about critical issues like HIV and mental health. Smh.

Denialists like Nikki Shange in the name of religion are not different from fake Pastors who claimed to heal HIV.

I've reported Nikki Shange. May we all do so. She's dangerous. HIV is real. In a country with so many HIV affected people, her tweets are irresponsible. She needs to be stopped.

To be honest, as someone seen as a respected custodian of an ideology many people rely on for sustenance, Nikki Shange is a hazard to people’s well-being and ultimately their lives. She should be suspended from this platform.

People like Nikki Shange are part of the reason why nonbelievers think Christians are ignorant. Please I beg you. If you're sick please continue taking your meds and continue praying to God for healing. Pray for wisdom, as well, to know exactly what to do.
