Tweeps call out Fana Mokoena for naming Babes but not Mampintsha
Actor and EFF member Fana Mokoena landed in hot water when he condemned the alleged abuse of Babes Wodumo, without naming Mampintsha, the alleged abuser.
Mokoena reacted along with thousands of South Africans who took to Twitter to express their anger and shock at the alleged incident.
Immediately after his tweet, people fired questions about how come he named Babes but not Mampintsha, with some asking if he has forgotten his name.
Justifying this, he said he is a "lawmaker" and therefore there are things he cannot do "out of anger".
#BabesWodumo’s abuser must be arrested with immediate effect and spend a very long time in jail. Justice must set an example

I’m a lawmaker. There are things I cannot do out of anger. https://t.co/XEW8JTAzbs

Here are some of the reactions from unimpressed Tweeps:
How is it that you can name the victim, but you can’t name the perpetrator, yet you saw them both in the same video? That’s just strange.
