A Turkish high speed train crash in Ankara on Thursday morning was caused by a collision with a local train, an official from the Ankara governor's office said.

Broadcasters said there were many casualties in the accident which occurred around 06:30 am in the capital Ankara as the train was setting off on a journey to the central province of Konya.
