Uber released its 2019 lost-and-found index which includes lists of the most common things people often leave behind in Ubers and the most unique lost items. 

The most common items that are forgotten in Ubers include cellphones, cameras, wallets, keys, glasses, headphones, IDs, licences and purses. 

Uber also documented 50 most unique items that people have forgotten after their rides including:

  • An eight-week old coffee-coloured chihuahua
  • A black-and-white tuxedo for a small dog 
  • A full set of 18k gold teeth
  • A professional grade hula hoop
  • A Harry Potter magic wand 
  • A bird   
  • A mannequin 
  • A fish tank with fish and water 
  • Dirty laundry
  • One Gucci flip flop    

According to Uber, the most forgetful days of the week are Saturdays and Sundays and the most forgetful time period is 11pm to 1am. People left behind the most items on New Year's Day and Halloween.

Most people were likely to forget their watches on Mondays, headphones on Tuesdays, laptops on Wednesdays, books on Thursdays, passports on Fridays, phones on Saturdays and cakes on Sundays.
