Learn a skill to land a job‚ Zuma tells school pupils

President Jacob Zuma has urged learners at Marhulana Primary School in Tembisa east of Johannesburg to study towards obtaining skills rather than obtaining a degree that could see them struggling to find employment."If you can't find employment‚ go and study for employment‚ as you can never be old to study‚" said Zuma. Msholozi as he is affectionately known‚ mocked people who used to walk around saying they have Bachelor of Arts degrees but couldn't find employment."I didn't even know what BA stood for. Those who knew better said it meant Bachelor of Arts. The problem with that is that someone who studied plumbing was and still can find a job because they have a skill that is in demand‚" said Zuma.He also said there was no point to displaying your qualification on the wall if you were still unemployed.The president said further that the reason why Chinese owned businesses are successful is because they study for skills and they are not a lazy nation.The president said South Africans should study hard to obtain skills in order to not be a problem in society...
