The leaked Gupta emails have given insight into the close relationship between the Guptas and President Jacob Zuma's son, Duduzane, which has long been a subject of controversy.

Evidence has emerged of Duduzane's role as a middleman between his father and international entities‚ with leaked emails showing he brokered a meeting between the president and a private Russian investment company. Emails also show how the Gupta family pulled out all the stops to stage a lavish wedding for Duduzane, with their company, Sahara, footing some of the bills.
