Bafana Bafana's victory against Libya has seen the team qualifying for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, and in the process won back South Africa's love.
The national soccer team defeated Libya 2-1 on Sunday night as the teams went head-to-head at Stade Taïeb Mhiri in Sfax, Tunisia.
Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Darren Keet made a series of incredible saves that had fans jokingly declaring that he was so good he could save the country from corruption.
While striker Percy Tau scored the two goals that led to South Africa qualifying for the Afcon, which will take place in Egypt from June 21 to July 19.
Bafana Bafana will join 23 other national teams in the tournament.
Often disappointed by the team's performance, this time South Africans were positive of a win ahead of the game and Bafana proved them right.
#BafanaBafana trended on Twitter as many applauded the team and sang praise of Percy Tau and goalkeeper Darren Keet.
Others were not impressed with the awkward national anthem mess-up before the game.
