Popular Qashqai boosted by arrival of new model

Nissan has announced the introduction of four additional models boasting special features and a limited production run, to its Qashqai range in South Africa .

The Limited Edition models joined the Qashqai range late last month seem likely to continue its success story as Nissan's best-selling passenger vehicle in South Africa.

The Qashqai has racked up over 16000 sales since it was introduced here in 2007 and the crossover has also proved a big success all over the world, with 1.8 million units sold globally since it was first launched.

The new Limited Edition models bring even more style, pizzazz and expression to the range. The new derivatives are the Qashqai 1.6 Acenta Limited Edition, 1.5 dCi Acenta Limited Edition, 1.5 dCi Acenta Limited Edition with glass roof and the new Qashqai 2.0 Acenta Limited Edition, also with glass roof.

Exterior changes include 18-inch diamond-cut black alloy wheels, gloss black roof rails, matching gloss black mirror caps, privacy glass and, on the two top models, a luxurious panoramic glass roof.

Interior changes include cloth and leather combination seats with accented white stitching, matching door and gear lever surround trim with white stitching and a gloss black finish for the door handles and gear lever surround.

Pearl White metallic paintwork is also available on the new Qashqai Limited Edition models.

These Limited Edition models offer extras to the value of over R10000 for a price difference of R4000 for the 1.6 Acenta and 1.5 dCi Limited Edition models, compared to their existing siblings.

The two new range-topping Qashqai Limited Edition variants, which feature the glass roof, reflect a comparable price increase of R8000, while featuring extra enhancements to the value of almost R20000.

The new Qashqai Limited Edition models are set for a limited production run of 12 months.
