"You are not on the guest list so you can't sit with us." That might as well have been the tag-line for the evening.

 Five hundred guests of Skyy vodka and birthday boy DJ Sphectacula were transported from Rosebank to a secret location - a warehouse with a view of Jozi.

 In the mix were some club hoppers who had fought for - and won - the right to party through the competition "Buy a bottle of vodka and stand a chance to be elevated to hipness".

 I suspect the ranks of lucky winners included the vixen who asked me to find her an agent for her budding modelling career. Confetti fell. Smoke machines smoked. DJs played. Rappers rapped. No cost was spared.

Yay! All the flavours of Skyy vodka were on tap.
