FAMILY FIRST
I travel a ton, but when I'm in town the first thing I do on Sunday morning is grab a cup of coffee. When I've had my caffeine fix, I'll cook a full breakfast for the family. Sunday breakfast is important for us as a family as we get to bond and catch up.
My family love to take it easy for the whole morning. We laze about reading the newspaper (usually the Sunday Times) and watching interesting programmes or videos on TV or online.
Occasionally I need to go to the studio on weekends to record. If not, my family and I typically spend Sunday afternoons having lunch at Melrose Arch, Joburg. We love tasha's and Mezepoli. The piazza often has activities for kids on weekends, like bouncing castles and ''art jamming". 
Our evenings are also quite low-key. When we get home, it's bath time and then dinner. I like to feed my two-year-old myself because she's a fussy eater.If I have help with the kids at night, I typically escape to the gym for a workout. I then make dinner for my husband and myself around 7pm.At home, I usually like to cook dinner, but if I'm feeling lazy I'll order takeaway curries from the Raj with Uber Eats. Uber Eats has changed my world.
I like to read before bed. I am reading the Arisen series by Michael Stephen Fuchs. It's about zombies, and I'm on book 10. It's outstanding and doesn't prevent me from sleeping. Science fiction is my favourite genre.
The rest of the evening is ''me time". I focus on writing lyrics for songs or channeling my creativity.
GIRLS' NIGHT OUT
Occasionally I take time out on a Sunday to meet up with my girlfriends. I have a group of Eastern European and South African friends and we call ourselves the "KGB". They're really fun so it's great to unwind and have sun-downers and share stories.I'll usually meet my friends in Sandton, either at Parc Fermé restaurant in the Michelangelo Towers or at the San Deck at the Sandton Sun Hotel.
I like the chicken and prawn curry at Parc Fermé - it has a uniquely Mauritian/creole twist which makes it different and each dish can be eaten with either poppadoms, rice or pap. I really like fusion cuisine.
SUNDAY SOUNDTRACK
If music is playing at home it's usually jazz, both classical and contemporary. I also like relaxing to soulful music like Air, Blue Six, Album Leaf and Tom Jobim, and typically I listen with a glass of vino in hand.
I love jazz and bossa nova - relaxing and good for the soul, and sophisticated and complex in a harmonious way that tickles my auditory senses and stimulates my creativity...
