I’d like to discuss fashion in the context of journeys of identity: the stories we tell ourselves about who we are. I founded the Kokrobitey Institute in Ghana in 1992. My idea was to facilitate educational exchange between American and Ghanaian students to help American students understand that Africa, like Europe, is an “old world” to America and part of every American’s shared cultural heritage...
