Restaurant Review

A bite-sized review of Melville's Asian eatery, Love Me So

Ramen, Koren BBQ and poke are all on the menu at this Asian fusion restaurant, writes Hillary Biller

When Chef/restaurateur Andrea Burgener gave up her (our favourite) restaurant in Melville, Joburg, a while back, the site, originally a couple of shops with beautiful big wooden windows, was snapped up by two eateries.
I was lured into one, Love Me So, not by the name, but by the promise of a great cocktail, Ramen bowls and my favourite colour, red. It's everywhere.
Small menu - plates of nibbles to share. Try the korokke Panko - crumbed potato croquettes, delicious but out of place on an Asian-style menu?
There are red ramen bowls with choices of broth and protein, hot red sauces, Korean BBQ to cook at the table and poke and soba bowls.
Skip desserts and kick off with two rounds of starters to fill the gap.
