An 83-year-old Manhattan judge watched the 1972 porn classic "Deep Throat" - before dismissing the owners' case against the 2013 biopic "Lovelace."

Arrow productions, the owners of the movie Deep Throat had alleged that the movie Lovelace infringed on their copyright by reenacting three of the scenes from the infamous porn movie according to the New York Post.

They wanted that movie's producers and its distributer The Weinstein Company to fork over $10 million (About R106.39 million) dollars.

The judge went into intimate detail, counting “17 scenes of explicit sexual content” in his 27-page decision.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Griesa then proceeded to rule against the porn movie's owners on the grounds of fair use.

"Here, the court finds that defendants' use, or recreation, of the three scenes from Deep Throat constitutes transformative use, adding a new, critical perspective on the life of Linda Lovelace and the production of Deep Throat," Griesa wrote.
