Just weeks after fans got their first glimpse of Charlize's character Cipher on Fast 8, the film's composer has revealed striking details about the kind of villain the actress will play.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly recently, Fast 8 composer Brian Tyler explained exactly what fans can expect when Cipher takes to the screen.

  • Charlize Theron set to star in upcoming 'The Fast and the Furious' filmSouth Africa-born Hollywood actress Charlize Theron is reported to have been cast as a villain in the upcoming 'The Fast and the Furious' film‚ Fast 8.

"It's like a siren kind of thing. There's no question the havoc and villainy she brings (but) you're attracted to it. There's something where you can kind of see yourself in this villain, that makes it more disturbing and, at the same time, more interesting," he said.

Comparing the character to Hannibal Lecter, Brian said that fans will no doubt fall in love with Charlize's character, even if they really shouldn't.

  • Charlize Theron honoured in Time 100 most Influential people listSA-born actress Charlize Theron has joined a host big name celebrities‚ philanthropists and business people on Time Magazine’s annual most influential list.

"It's the sympathetic villains, in a way, who really get under your skin. In a much different way, but like how Anthony Hopkins did Hannibal Lecter, where you like him, but you're like, 'Wait, why am I doing that? I shouldn't be rooting for this person'," he explained.

He puts the complexity and beauty of the character down to the SA-born actress' incredible talent.

"She has that ability to do that. She's just a fantastic actor."

Brian's praise echoes that of Fast 8 actor Vin Diesel, who took to Facebook in May to praise the actress.

"Wait until you meet Cipher. Of all her films, you have never seen this character (Charlize) has created. She has truly brought her A game to this saga and we are all grateful for it," he wrote.

Opening up about the role, Charlize told E! News that her character will most likely not do much driving in the film.

"I feel like that gang's got the driving, like, down. Like, they have, like, a really good thing going. I don't know if I need to step in in that department. I might have to step in in a different department," she said in a recent interview.

The film is set for a release in April 2017.
