Breaku-p? What break-up? Jay Anstey is too busy with her plans to take over TV and movie screens to worry about her love life.

The actress, who recently split with Top Billing's Jonathan Boynton-Lee, has scored herself two major acting gigs.

TMG Entertainment understands that Jay is currently in Cape Town shooting for a US TV show called Blood Drive. It is unclear what role Jay will play in the show - which is described as the story of a near-apocalyptic future that centers around LA’s last good cop who is forced to join a twisted cross-country death race with cars powered by blood.

And that's not all!

Jay will next month start shooting for a coming-of-age road trip film, alongside veteran actor Sello Maake Ka-Ncube.

"I'm so excited about this film! It's not your typical story with obvious highs and lows, it's more creative and artistic which (by going on the previous films I've done) is way more my style," Jay explained.

Speaking to TMG Entertainment on Friday, Jay said that she was excited about the two projects and hasn't had much sleep from all the work.

"I'm so excited about both projects! They are both so different, posing unique challenges. Things always come in waves, so I'm riding the wave now. It means I barely get sleep and am constantly working on character development and script. But I'm so thrilled to be sharing both stories with everyone," she said.

And if you had any doubts that she was Miss Independent, Jay has reassured fans that she is doing well after her break-up and is still friends with Jonathan.

"Luckily, Jonathan and I were good friends before we started dating and just because we aren't together anymore hasn't changed that. We've spoken to each other since and are on great terms. But we're both very focused on our careers at the moment," she said.
