A devastated Kgomotso Christopher has shared a sad observation that despite how talented the late Thobani Mseleni was, Mzansi has only been exposed to him in death, despite him working really hard to be recognised.

The Scandal! actress said she knew that Thobani had many dreams and that he always believed that he would get the recognition due to him one day.

Kgomotso said Thobani's hopeful nature made it harder to process his untimely death.

Many of his friends and followers agreed with Kgomotso, saying Thobani was always optimistic about his future in the entertainment industry.

Kgomotso agreed and added that he was a genuine cheerleader for so many artists while he waited for his time.

Thobani played the role of Babalo in the controversial South African film, Inxeba.

However, Thobani has been working hard in the industry for a while now and his first major acting role was on Intersexions as Bhutana. Since then he's also been on Matatiele and The Queen.

Thobani's cousin, Thandolwethu Piliso also said that Thobani was never one to give up. He told TshisaLIVE the star had gone through a lot over the last few months and after struggling to find work, he decided to clear his head with a trip home to Fort Beaufort.

"He decided to go home for a month because things were not going well, but he didn't give up." Thando said.

However, Thobani returned to Joburg and within days of him returning, he was able to find work again.

"He got a gig when he got back. He was so excited. He told me he would give me all the details later, but that day never came," Thando said.
