Friends, family and fans have gathered at the Sandringham Sports Ground in Queenstown to bid farewell to singer and actor, Siyasanga Kobese.

Siyasanga died in a car crash on April 28 while en route to MC a wedding in the Eastern Cape. She was in the car with former YoTV presenter Akhumzi Jezile and actor Thobani Mseleni, as well as two other people. All five of them died.

The funeral of Siyasanga Kobese took place on Saturday May 12 2018, in Queenstown. Her mother, Nomawethu Kobese, delivered an emotional tribute to her daughter. Subscribe to TimesLIVE here: https://www.youtube.com/user/TimesLive

As rain began to fall in the area on Saturday morning, a tent had to be erected in preparation for the funeral service.

Mourners cried and sang praise songs as Siyasanga's body was carried into the tent.

A red carpet has been laid out and Siyasanga's casket is white with white flowers.
