WATCH | Lloyiso's rendition of Sam Smith's Pray is freakin' amazing

Ex Idols SA contestant Lloyiso is looking to be one of the opening acts for Sam Smith next month and has taken it upon himself to get the UK star to notice his talent by singing covers of the star's songs.

His rendition of Sam's Pray, which he has nicknamed Ngizothandaza, will give you goosies for days!

"I cannot wait to see my role model Sam Smith live but now imagine if I was the opening act! (I) hope you enjoy it. And do please tag him on this (video)," Lloyiso said.

Even though Lloyiso (whose real name is Loyiso Gijana) didn't end up winning the Idols SA title back in 2016, there's no denying that the young man is talented. He's done a range of covers and recently got signed by Ambitiouz Entertainment where he released Nontsikelelo.

The singer, who was only 16 when he captured Mzansi's heart has been keeping his name relevant by doing covers of popular songs and hopes his recent Pray rendition will get Sam Smith to notice him.

His cover of Amablesser by Mlindo and DJ Maphorisa broke the internet with over 60k views on YouTube and over 90k views on Twitter, while his Idols SA Top 16 performance video still ranks high with over 250k views on YouTube.
