#Ufelani | Lydia thought she found her hero, but he killed her
Viewers of Ufelani were left feeling hopeless after they heard how Lydia had been beaten, hung and hammered to death.
The woman was in an abusive relationship for a while, before she found a way to break free. Soon after that relationship, she fell in love with Thembinkosi, who looked like he would be her knight in shining armour.
However, Lydia's hero soon turned into her worst nightmare. He would fly into fits of rage, which got worse when they moved in with each other.
One day, driven by jealousy, Thembinkosi killed Lydia and dumped her body.
Lydia's family shared the story.
