He stressed that fans should plan their trip to the stadium carefully to make sure their experience at the show was as good as possible.
"In addition to all the public transport options, we do have safe and secure parking, but it is very important that people buy parking tickets. There is no casual parking. You can't just arrive at the stadium and try and find a spot ...and that really adds a problem. So we really urge fans to plan."
While the stadium will be lit, the City of Johannesburg said it had a plan and was in talks with stakeholders to make sure the power was kept on in the blocks leading to the stadium.
"Load-shedding is implemented by Eskom in accordance to the need. There are talks amongst stakeholders to look at interventions in an event of load-shedding. The event itself, inside the stadium has a backup plan in place. The discussions now revolve around interventions for the precinct around the stadium to compliment the security plan in place," City of Johannesburg head of communications Nthatisi Modingoane told TshisaLIVE.
