The Queen stars Moshe Ndiki and Rami Chuene will host the 11th annual Feather Awards on October 17.

To top it all Moshe and partner Phelo Bala are nominated for Cutest Couple of the Year. They will compete with Sylvester Chauke and Tumelo Mmusi as well as Dineo Moeketsi and Solo.

“I feel honoured to be hosting this. So much pressure already; I don’t know what I will be bringing. But expect a lot of drama and entertainment. I just me, I’m that cupcake,” Moshe gushed to SowetanLive.

The nomination party for the LGBTIQ awards was a star-studded affair on Thursday afternoon at Constitution Hill, Johannesburg. It was attended by Ndiki, Bala, Langa Mavuso, Somizi Mhlongo, Kelly Khumalo, Zola Nombona, Cedric Fourie, Celeste Khumalo and Wanda Baloyi.

The awards have introduced four new categories, including best rainbow parenting. Phelp and Moshe's mothers Nomalinde and Nokuzola received a nod in the category.

“Our moms deserve to win the most, we will always be a cute couple,” Moshe said.

“What they are doing is really inspiring and I don’t even think they are aware of it, because being a mother, loving and caring comes so natural to them.”

The diva extraordinaire category will see Bonang Matheba, Mhlongo and Bonnie Mbuli go head-to-head.

The Socialite of the Year nominees are Mihlali Ndamase, Musa Mthombeni and Lerato Sengadi.

Musician of the Year pays homage to Mavuso, Busiswa, Sho Madjozi and Moonchild.

Nombona, Krayz K and Thuso Mbedu will duke it out for Hot Chick of the Year, while Fourie, Thabiso Makhubela and Rich Mnisi will compete for Hunk of the Year.

Nombona was named Mzansi’s Sexiest by SowetanLive in 2018.

“I feel surprised. But I’m so happy to be recognised by the LGBTIQ community. To see that I’m visible it’s great. I will love to win, because it will top it off after winning Mzansi’s Sexiest,” Nombona said.
