Former TV presenter and businesswoman Minnie Dlamini said she was all hands on deck when she wanted to learn the in and outs of producing.

She had an interview with YouTuber Nono D on her series “InShot” and shared she wasn’t afraid of getting her hands dirty in the earlier years of learning the craft.

“I’ve always wanted to produce, to create movies and television. I believe that there’s a way we can shape society through art, whether it’s through having conversations that’s taboo or enlightening a community about what’s actually going on in a certain space.

She said apart from TV broadcasts, the company also does digital campaigns for brands like Jaguar

“I’m excited to be creating groundbreaking content that involves everyday people, how do we put ourselves on screen, celebrate who we are, and those are the things always at the back of my mind.”

The media personality recently launched her new business venture, a luxurious bar lounge, The Mansion, in Centurion

“I'm excited to be putting the biggest names in music in this place, but also emerging new talent, which is very important, and to be a part of the culture of growing this industry in the way that actually puts money in artists' pockets.” Minnie told TshisaLIVE.

Minnie acquired a part-ownership of the luxury venue that caters for more than 300 patrons and has been planning the venture for nearly a year.

“After the lockdown, business was horrible for people who were gigging, hosting events and all that ... so now that the country is open ... the more establishments we have, the more artists we're able to book and we're able to get our industry back on its feet again.”
